Employment-Oriented Vocational Training Scheme

Under this scheme, short-term six-month training programs are conducted in various trades at designated Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).

Information about the Scheme:

Under this scheme, short-term six-month training programs are conducted in various trades at designated Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Generally, the scheme is launched in April and October, and advertisements are issued for the same.

Procedure to Avail the Benefits of the Scheme:

Advertisements are issued through the Directorate via the Commissioner of Public Relations. Upon admission, the respective trainees must deposit ₹350/- at the institute. This scheme does not provide any scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Availing the Benefits:

  1. The educational qualifications vary depending on the trade:
    • 8th grade for some trades
    • 10th grade for others
    • 12th grade for certain trades
  2. Selection is based on merit.
  3. Applicants must submit their applications to the respective ITIs.
  4. Reservation benefits are provided to trainees as per government norms.
