The Madhya Pradesh government launched the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme on August 1, 2014, under the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department. Under this scheme, loans ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹10,00,000 are provided to the state's citizens to help them establish their own businesses. The scheme offers benefits such as money margin, interest subsidy, loan guarantee, and training to the beneficiaries. A minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 7 years are provided for repayment of the loan granted by the bank.
Procedure to Avail the Benefits of the Scheme:
Under the Swarn Jayanti Urban Employment Training Program, members of BPL (Below Poverty Line) families are trained in various trades, enabling them to earn a livelihood post-training. The scheme provides 15% grant and 75% contribution for the training.
